I'm 6 Months Old!!!

Wow...6 months. It has flown by. Today, at Maya's 6 month checkup, there was a 2 month old next to us in the waiting room. I asked Liz, "Was Maya ever that small." Yes she was, it appears. I can't even remember her being that small.

The checkup went well. (as can be expected given the way it ended for her) I now realize why kids hate the doctor until they get older. I mean, we give them so many reasons to love going since they get poked by needles the first 20 times they go. Poor girl had huge tears and cried like I have never heard her cry. But, being the trooper she is, she was smiling 10 min later.

Oh...you want to know the measurements? Fine. She weighed in at 16 lbs 5 oz (up from 14 lbs 7 oz at 4 months) and measured 25 3/4" (up from 24 3/4" last time). She's getting so big. I fully expect a "mom and dad, it's time to let me go" letter from her any day now. (if she takes after her mommy we really will get one of those...what...in 8th grade?)

Got to hang with my cousin Owen!

Maya got to spend some time with her cousin Owen on Saturday. (we missed the other two cousins: Amira and Kiran...they were visiting their grandmother)

She had a great time. Even picked a sticker off of Owens face (you should have seen the surprised look on her face when she realized it was not attached) She also got to spend some quality time with her Grandma and Papa. She even showed us all a new trick! She rolled back to front for us. (she now rolls both ways! She's all growns up, I tells ya)

Six month check up is on Friday, so I will be posting the measurements after the visit.

Maya says hi to everyone and she just yelled: "GO BUCKEYES!!"
