I'm EATING!!

It only took us until her 7 month birthday...but Maya finally got to have some real food! (Not that mommy's milk wasn't real food, but you know what I mean) Rice cereal was the first, and let me tell you, she loved it. So much so, that we were not sure if we were going to need to fix the entire box for her.

Since then, she has graduated to: Oatmeal, sweet potatoes, peas and this morning -- Bananas. (some of you may know that I hate bananas, so I figured Maya would love them. mmmmm...not so much) We will try them again to make sure.

We are going to start making our own food this weekend, so hopefully that will go well. I know what she really wants, chocolate chip cookies, but we won't give those to her yet. (at least, he mommy doesn't think we will...muuuhahahahaha...just kidding Liz.) Or, am I?!?!?!

My First Trip to the Beach!!

Fine...fine....It's been a while. Daddy has been bad about posting. Hopefully today will make up for that.

Maya had her first visit to the beach, and she LOVED it. We spent a week in Charleston, SC. (It was my first time there and I have to say it was a great place to visit. It helped matters that the weather was beautiful for October.

We had a hard time pulling Maya away from the beach..she's going to be a little beach bum, I can tell. She did great on the drive there and back, but we could tell by the end that she was ready to be home. (the 45 min stop just south of Lexington clued us in to that)

While in Charleston, the little munchkin started to to crawl (right at her 7 month mark...pretty impressive, little peanut) Now, we can hardly keep up with her.
